Ramadhan Day 11 / Juzz 11
"And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due
to power] belongs to Allah entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing." [10:65]
In this ayah, Allah is telling His Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)
that the things they (the disbelievers) say to you, should not grieve you.
Prophet Muhammad *will* hear things that will really hurt him,
he *will* hear things that will upset him, and people *will* say demoralising
things. However, Allah is reminding His Prophet not to let what they say get to
him, because he needs to deliver the message of hope and optimism. Here Allah
is raising his morale because If he gets demoralised, where will humanity find
hope?
Allah then goes on to say that indeed dignity, power, honour and
respect belong to Him, so don't worry about what they say, it is Allah Who has
honoured you and chosen you (المصطفى).
The lesson *we* can take from this is, keep moving forward
despite vile attacks from those who unaware of Allah's deen. In this day and
age through avenues like social media, we find people saying hateful and nasty
things about Islam, Allah, and His Messenger. Things which fill us with disgust
and rage.
Yet Allah is reminding us - don't let it get to you. You just
keep doing your job. Allah will deal will them because He is "All Hearing,
the Knowing."
So remember not to let their
hate interfere with the work you have to do. Just keep doing your job, which is
to worship Allah and serve His deen
